The Milk Dragon Art Exhibit 


March 27 – April 15 2015

Friday, March 27, Opening Reception: 5 – 6 pm 

Local artist Margaret Willis and Discovery Gateway Arts Educator Kate Gourley Thomas have created this exhibit based on the new play The Milk Dragon by Suzan Zeder premiering at Utah Valley University in the Noorda Theatre Center for Children and Youth, March 5 – 21. The Milk Dragon art exhibit features colorful sculptures made from reclaimed items, and allows children to explore the nature and value of things that might otherwise be lost, broken or banished.

Art Workshops for Children (4+yrs) Inspired by The Milk Dragon

Friday, March 27 | 2 & 4 pm
Reclaimed Story Sculptures with Kate Gourley Thomas
Saturday, March 28 | 1 & 3 pm
Dragon Theater Workshop with guest artist and Playwright in Residence at UVU’s Noorda Theater Wendy Gourley.
Kids will get to create an original dragon play complete with props, costumes, music and movement!

Open Gallery Art Experiences | Wednesday – 10 am – 2 pm

Friday Workshops | 2 & 4 pm

Saturday Workshops |1 & 3 pm

SUPER ART SATURDAY | Free Art Workshops on the 1st Saturday of every month from 11 am – 3 pm. Funded by Salt Lake City Arts Council. Museum admission not required.
